Selena Gomez receberá prêmio no Hispanic Heritage Awards

Selena Gomez, Bad Bunny e Jessica Alba são alguns nomes homenageados na premiação única que reúne celebridades, médicos, cientistas e adolescentes que ajudam a mudar o mundo para melhor.

Fundado em 1987, o Hispanic Heritage Awards homenageia as contribuições para comunidade latina em vários campos: Artes, Educação, Liderança, Matemática/Ciências, Esportes, Visão, Inspiração e Conquista de Vida.

No próximo dia 06 de outubro, a emissora educativa-cultural PBS transmitirá a 33ª edição da cerimônia, que neste ano não reunirá os nomes em um mesmo auditório – nem mesmo ao vivo. Dessa vez, por conta da pandemia da covid-19, o Hispanic Heritage terá uma novidade bacana: além de gravado, os homenageados estarão não apenas nos EUA, mas também de diversos países da América Latina.

Como anunciado em agosto, Bad Bunny receberá o prêmio por sua “Visão”. Ano passado, o homenageado na mesma “categoria” foi Residente (René Perez). “Estamos honrados em reconhecer o transcendente impacto de bad Bunny enquanto artista e ativista”, disse Antonio Tijerino, CEO da fundação. “Bad Bunny entende a responsabilidade de servir uma voz poderosa àqueles que precisam ser escutados”.

Jessica Alba também foi anunciada como a homenageada com o Business Awards pela sua contribuição filantrópica. “Como uma estrela internacional, o talento de Jessica como atriz é claro, mas como empreendedora e filantrópica, ela tem feito um grande impacto. Ela representa a visão e vontade de empreendedoras latinas além de ser um modelo para juventude”.

Selena Gomez será gratificada com o Arts Awards pelo impacto na cultura americana global por meio da música, filmes e “coragem como defensora da saúde mental”, disseTijerino. “Há poder na vulnerabilidade e Selena se tornou normal falar de questões difíceis com as quais todos lidamos, especialmente durante a pandemia. Selena é um modelo para tantos por tantos motivos”.
